Saroj Kumar Chauhan

Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. Saroj is a Brisbane, Australia-based cinematographer.

Saroj studied filmmaking and cinematography at the Griffith Film School, where he received his master’s degree. Since then, he has filmed multiple award-winning narratives.

 

His cinematography works have screened at various international film festivals around the world and his work has also won multiple A.C.S awards. Saroj has filmed multiple feature films, short films, documentary films, and art films.

 

He is the author of the Book Mastering a Hollywood Look. He has also been recognized for his research in cinematography with an Award of Academic Excellence. Saroj is a filmmaker who values authenticity and emotional resonance in his work. By prioritizing raw performances and strong visual language, he aims to create a powerful and impactful film that can connect with audiences on a deep level. With a keen eye for details and a strong grasp of visual storytelling, he has extensive experience in all aspects of film production and speaks English, Nepali, and Hindi fluently.
